Traditional Hawaiian cordage was used in many applications, from fittings on canoes to adornment.  My favorite part of the cordage has always been the lashing - the ornate woven patterns that attach the cords to whatever is being held by them.  In the "Lashed" Series, I feature a typical lashing technique as the central element on fabricated recycled Sterling silver frames.

All cordage used is synthetic, so it is waterproof and rot-resistant to last for years. Choose from black or "natural" colored cordage and ko'ili'pi (axe) or ale'o (tower) shaped frames.
